Phil's Findings: Fontana was well known in U.S. in 1943
Readers who noted a commentary in a recent edition of the Herald News may have noticed that a reference was made to the mentioning of Fontana in the Jan. 4, 1943 issue of LIFE magazine, which had a circulation in the millions. That was 67 years ago and we were in the middle of World War II.
